Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club Blyth Spartans have formed an exciting new partnership with Arch –The Northumberland Development Company.

Arch has agreed to the club’s shirt sponsor, starting this season.

Cllr Dave Ledger, Arch Group Chair & Deputy Leader of Northumberland County Council said: “Arch’s Blyth Workspace project is delighted to be sponsoring Blyth Spartans. The football club is at the heart of our local community, showing the passion that exists in Blyth and in our county.

“We hope this new exposure can help us to reach audiences where Arch is leading the delivery of Commissioner’s Quay, a mixed-use place that is a destination for living, working and visiting – a flagship regeneration scheme for the whole of Northumberland. Our Blyth Workspace building boosts the development of the Enterprise Zone site helping to attract new inward investors, new jobs and high growth enterprise and provides high quality office accommodation to the businesses of Northumberland.

“This partnership will add an exciting new dimension and by investing in Blyth Spartans and supporting the local sporting experience, we’re helping more people develop a sporting habit for life.”

Spartans Chairman Tony Platten commented:”Arch is the commercial development body established by Northumberland County Council to promote Northumberland as place to do business.

A key element of this work is to actually let people know where Northumberland is. Blyth Spartans have been described as the famous non league club in the world and has always flown the flag for Northumberland and I was absolutely delighted that we were able to demonstrate that the Club could be a key element in promoting the County.

The three year sponsorship agreement we have entered into with Arch will ensure financial stability allowing the Club to strengthen its on-field activities. This stability will also allow the Club to continue contributing to community projects.”
