TEAM NEWS
3 games to go of the standard season, 1 place behind the last play off spot, 9 points available, its still manageable. Blyth will be travelling to Witton Albion, currently 19th in our league table to hopefully complete the double over another side. Witton are currently on a goal drought after going 3 games without a goal whilst Spartans managed our first clean sheet in 7 matches. News came out midweek that left backs Damon Mullen and Jordan Watson are missing for the tie, with Jordan being out for the remainder of the campaign after an operation. Blyth will be able to welcome back Stephen Turnbull after missing out midweek against Matlock Town.

Curzon Ashton are Blyth’s main targets as we hope to get that last play off spot of the Manchester side, they are at home to Halesowen Town. A win for Spartans can see us go 3 points behind the Manchester based side, with a game in hand, which we play next Tuesday away to bottom side Trafford. Another realistic reach for Blyth and the play offs is if Ilkeston fail to pick up any points in their 2 remaining games, which they face Workington and Nantwich Town. If Blyth lose and Curzon Ashton pick up atleast a draw, the play offs are unreachable.
