PHIL AIREY – JAN 2013
The club can announce that the Port of Blyth Player of the Month for January 2013 is Phil Airey.
Despite the poor weather restricting the Spartans to a handful of fixtures Phil has been a revelation at full back as he moved back from his usual striking role.
A right back in his younger days, he slotted back into the role with ease, producing a man of the match performance against Stocksbridge Park Steels and was one of the Spartans best performers in the game away at Chorley.
