TEAM NEWS
The FA Cup returns for Spartans as they play their fourth away fixture in consecutive weeks. Another trip down to Derbyshire for Blyth sees us face a new team to add to our list, Mickleover Sports of the Evo-Stik First Division South. Mickleover are not to be taken lightly, especially as at home they have recorded 5 wins in 5 games this season, including a current 10 game unbeaten streak. The winners of the tie will be in the hat for the 4th Qualifying Round, where the Vanarama Conference sides enter the mix.

Neal Hooks did not take part in the 4-3 win over Belper last Saturday with a hamstring injury but will be hoping to get his place back alongside the impressive Stephen Turnbull in the spine of the team. Captain Robbie Dale has scored 4 goals in 2 games, including a hat-trick away to Belper on Saturday. He’ll be looking to continue his strong form this season. Peter Jefferies has been a rock in goal for Blyth ever since joining, even more so in the FA Cup, after superb performances against both Darlington and Skelmersdale.
