Updates:
87: Mullen on for Wade

83: Big let off for Spartans as Murphy is free and in on goal but he is denied by a great block from Jefferies

81: Hooks off Quinn on

80: Wearmouth in the action for the first time and he rolls Maguire in but his first touch is poor and as he overstretches he can only roll the ball wide of the near post

70: The hosts go back in front as Lower is given too much time to cross to the far post. Jefferies is caught under it and Lavery heads in from virtually on the line BFC 2-1 BSAFC

67: Spartans sub Wearmouth on for Rivers

51: Robbie Dale with a great chance all of his own making as he dances past desperate challenges from Lower and Hood. He cuts in from the byline and fires just past the far post from a narrow angle

The hosts get the second half underway

HALF TIME: It’s level at the break as Robbie Dale’s penalty gets Spartans back on level terms. Ant Carney had given the hosts the lead after eighteen minutes and that lead is one that they maybe just about deserved to keep. Spartans with the wind and kicking downhill second half which they have to use to their advantage.

45: Several crosses come into the Spartans area that they fail to clear. A loose ball runs to Nisevic on the edge of the area but his volley goes well over

42: A great cross from the right by Carney sees Stevenson try another header. It’s on target this time and Jeffries produces a flying save to tip over. The corner comes to nothing

37: Towers breaks down the right and gets past Hutchinson by the corner flag. His cross finds the head of Stevenson who can only head wide from ten yards

Spartans gifted their equaliser and have to say it’s against the run of play. The home side’s dominance brought to an end by the sloppy play of their defence

28: GOAL SPARTANS Dale steps up and sends Castle the wrong way, rolling to the keepers left BFC 1-1 BSAFC

27: At last a chance for Spartans as Rivers finds Maguire on the edge of the area but he fires wide. Castle attempts a quick goal kick that is intercepted by Dale who drives into the area and is brought down by Lavery. A penalty to Spartans

18: The first action of a dreadful opening to the game and the hosts take the lead as Ant Carney latches on to a Richard Lavery clearance. The Spartans back four are caught square and Carney blasts into the net with Jeffries helpless BFC 1-0 BSAFC

We are ready for kick off and it’s Spartans who will get us underway

The teams are out here with Spartans in their traditional green and white stripes with black shorts. The hosts are in their usual yellow and green

Team News: Two changes for Spartans as Alex Nicholson and Dan Hawkins come in for Stephen Turnbull(unavailable) and Joel Dixon. Dixon is amongst the substitutes with Damen Mullen, who returns after missing Monday’s draw at Curzon Ashton
