TEAM NEWS
A 5-0 victory over Ramsbottom United sets Blyth up nicely with the visit to Rushall Olympic this coming Saturday. Last season saw Spartans take three points from Dales Lane, with a 2-1 win; goals coming from Robbie Dale and Michael Richardson. That game was also the debut for ex-goalkeeper Nick Thompson, who has since moved back to the United States. With current goalkeeper Adam McHugh in top form of late, he and his defence will need to be at their best to keep the Rushall forwards quiet.

Tom Wade mentioned last week that we could welcome back a handful of players to the first team, including Andrew Cartwright and centre forward Dan Maguire. A large presence of Green Army supporters is expected to be visiting Dales Lane, with the famous Cannock Spartans living only a few miles down the road. After last weekend’s results elsewhere, points are there to be picked up at all opportunities and a win could be vital in the chase for the title.

OPPOSITION MANAGER
Richard Sneekes – Ex Ajax, Bolton, West Brom and Hull City player. Has been in charge of The Pics since the start of the 2014/15 season.

DANGER MAN
Luke Benbow – Leagues 2nd top goalscorer, currently sat on 18 goals but only has the one in 2016.
