TEAM NEWS
With the 1-1 draw with table-topping Skelmersdale still in minds of all Spartans, attention is being quickly turned to the weekend’s FA Cup tie away to Leek Town. With the winners of the tie in the pot alongside Npower League 1 and 2 sides, the prize of the victor is potentially huge. Leek are based in Staffordshire and play in the Evo-Stik First Division South, the same as previous opponents Mickleover Sports.

The Blyth team on Tuesday night was without the unavailable Stephen Turnbull and the injured Daniel Maguire. Both though are expected to return to the side. Centre back Nathan Buddle has accumulated a number of yellow cards and sees himself suspended so there could be a place for Chris Bell or Joel Dixon. Danny Parker is back in training after his jaw injury.
