TEAM NEWS
With Spartans playing in cup games during the week, other teams around Blyth in the league played their games in hand and a few results surprised and tilted in the favour of us. With Blyth in good form, we travel down to struggling Ilkeston on Saturday in our attempt for the push on the play offs. Ilkeston are without a win since their 6-1 hammering of Stocksbridge late February so hopefully another away performance like Kings Lynn would be very much welcomed from all at the club.

Friday saw the announcement that Craig Hubbard left the club so Tom Wade will have to shuffle the pack in midfield. Tuesdays game at Ashington saw Lewis Horner return near the end of the tie so he may fit in the place of the missing Hubbs. Ash Davis also returned in the Senior Cup semi final so he could give young Dan Maguire some assistance up front.
