TEAM NEWS
With all cup competitions over with for the season now after Saturday’s narrow defeat to Championship side Birmingham City, Blyth travel down to Yorkshire to face league opponents Frickley Athletic. With a massive 12 games in hand on top of the league side Skelmersdale United, Spartans will be looking for the perfect kick start in pushing up the league table, which this seasons results have shown. A win for Blyth would see us move up to 16th, overtaking Nantwich and Stamford.

Matthew Wade was placed on the bench for the Birmingham game, giving Damon Mullen a free role in the centre of the pitch, also with Joel Dixon, ex Frickley Athletic player started at right back, with Alex Nicholson dropping to the sidelines. With the big game only 3 days ago, Tom may decide to use his large squad to benefit the team with the likes of Neal Hooks and new signing Steven Turnbull a chance to stretch their legs against a physical Frickley side.

IN THE AWAY DUG OUT
Carl Rose – Ex Goole AFC, Scarborough, Leigh RMI, Tamworth, Worksop Town, Garforth Town, Rochdale, Barnsley

DANGER MAN
Gavin Allot – 12 league goals to his name this season
