Paddy Atkinson and Tom Wade will look to mark their permanent appointments as Manager and Assistant Manager of Spartans with a home win tomorrow as Eastwood Town make the trip to Croft Park. Spartans are actually on a five game unbeaten run on their home patch and will look to extend that run against the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League’s bottom club.

It’s been a case of one in and one out for Atkinson and Wade this week as Richie Slaughter returned to the club from Newcastle Benfield whilst top scorer Craig Farrell has joined league rivals Whitby Town. Spartans will be without the suspended Shaun Utterson(who was goalscorer the last time The Badgers travelled to Croft Park) whilst they will hope to welcome back Ryan McGorrigan(above) after the striker missed the Northumberland Senior Cup draw with Whitley Bay. News is awaited on midfielder Tom Berj after the former Sunderland RCA man hobbled off during the draw with the Seahorses.

Eastwood Town will also have a new management team tomorrow as they announced the appointment of Chris Shaw as manager and Mitch Hanson as his assistant. Despite sitting bottom of the League they did give Witton Albion an almighty shock last week as they took the lead twice against Albion, only to lose to an 83rd minute Shaun Tuck goal. They have lost six of their nine away fixtures this season whilst picking up away victories at Worksop Town and Matlock Town.
