Tom Wade is looking to continue his squads good form as we entertain Cumbria side Workington AFC at Croft Park for the Boxing Day Special. The visitors are currently amongest the play off contentions and the tie will be a good test for Spartans to see whether we are up to facing the likes of Workington to push for a play off spot ourselves.
After Saturday’s 7-1 thumping of Grantham, Wade may decide to play the same squad, which includes Joel Dixon and Damon Mullen in the centre of midfield, with Stephen Turnbull. Dan Maguire managed 2 goals to his name that match, he’ll be looking forward to running up against Workington’s defence as Blyth go on the hunt for our 7th straight victory.
