TEAM NEWS
It’s judgement day. Blyth must better the result of Ilkeston to stand a good chance of reaching the play offs for the 2014/2015 season. We welcome to Croft Park Marine who class the weekend’s game as judgement day for them too as they battle relegation to the Evo Stik Premier Division North. Midweek saw Spartans put four past already relegated Trafford in Manchester which saw us move within one point of the last playoff spot.

Dan Maguire’s Tuesday night hat-trick moved him joint second in the top goalscoring chart and, importantly, Blyth within touching distance of extending the season to a semi final. Craig Lynch got his second goal in as many games as he came off the bench to score. Craig will again be hoping he has done enough to start at home in front of a hopefully larger than usual home crowd at Croft Park.

It is no doubt going to be a huge day, with people tapping into social media for scores around the league, with other results affecting the way the league ends. Atmosphere will include nerves, electricity and excitement as the season closes its curtain, with a final push looming for those in green and white.

IN THE AWAY DUG OUT
Sean Hessey – Player/Manager – ex Liverpool, Leeds United, Blackpool & Chester City player.

DANGER MAN
Lloyd Ellams – is Marine’s joint top goalscorer in the league, on 10 goals.
