TEAM NEWS
Football at Croft Park has been of a high standard in recent months, but with the spectacular cup games now in the past, Blyth supporters will be looking forward to seeing their players march up the league table making the best of a backlog of fixtures. Saturday welcomes bottom of the table Belper Town, their first league visit to Croft Park, after once making an appearance in the FA Trophy, which Blyth won 2-0, in 2005.

Midweek saw the return of league football just three days after the Birmingham City tie and the result of tired legs and an away travel lead to a closely fought defeat to a solid Frickley team. New signing Steven Turnbull started the game, alongside current Spartans Turnbull, Stephen, in the middle of the park. Arran Wearmouth left Frickley in a leg brace after a hefty challenge so he is most likely to be ruled out for Saturday’s tie. Michael Richardson got his first goal for the club after recently joining the Spartans. He will be hoping to keep his starting position in the side. The last time Blyth played Belper earlier in the season, captain Robbie Dale scored a hat-trick, one week later after scoring two against Championship opposition, he’ll be hoping he can add to his impressive tally this campaign.

IN THE AWAY DUG OUT
Jimmy Albans – Ex Grantham Town boss was appointed in December 2014.

DANGER MAN
Ashley Burbeary – the most likely goal threat in a rough patch for Belper Town, having scored 5 goals in their last 11 games.
