Spartans beat ex Conference Premier Side Farsley Celtic to pick up 3 more valuable points in their quest to save their Blue Square North status.
Spartans took the lead after only 3 minutes. A free kick taken by Gareth William’s found Anthony Shandran inside the penalty area, he cut back from the dead ball line to shoot across Curtis Aspden in the Celtic goal to score.
Rob Dale set up Shaun Reay free one on one with the Farsley keeper but Aspden punched away Reay’s effort.
At the other end Andrew Leeson cleared off the line from Luke Mulcher shot.
But on 48 minutes Dale broke free down the left wing to pick out Shandran who volleyed home left footed from just inside the penalty area to put Spartans 2 up.
Reay made amends for his earlier miss on 62 minutes. Dale released Shandran down the left his ball was turned home by Reay.
On 69 the fourth came via Richard Pell. A short corner between Dale and Adrian Webster saw Dale pick out Pell at the near, the tall centre half turning the ball home past Aspden.
At the final minute Shandran turned provider centring for Dale to head home Spartans fifth.
