MAN OF THE MATCH
Wayne Phillips

Another Spartans win and another man of the match display from Wayne Phillips – This is becoming a bit of a habit!

The winger was again at his attacking best as he caused the Eastwood Town defence problems throughout Saturday’s game. His early cross set up Shaun Utterson to score what ultimately proved the winner, but his efforts throughout the 90 minutes drew praise from all sides at Croft Park.

The winger seems to have built up an instant understanding with Joe Kendrick down the left hand side and this will hopefully continue as the Spartans look to avoid the drop.
