MAN OF THE MATCH
Wayne Phillips
As a result of injuries to strikers’ Glen Taylor and Phil Bannister, Phillips was deployed in an advanced role alongside Captain Graeme Armstrong, and put on his best display since his return to Croft Park.
His trickery and guile caused the visiting defence problems all afternoon and he was unfortunate not to find himself on the score sheet in the first half when a rasping effort was kept out by Droylsden ‘keeper Paul Phillips.
