TEAM NEWS
‘Legs Eleven’ – 11 games are remaining in the season and the battle is heating up at the top. Midweek saw Spartans battle amazingly well with only ten men for more than an hour to record a 2-0 win away at Mickleover Sports, and making our points total up to 78.

On Saturday we travel down to West Midlands to face Sutton Coldfield Town, whose Central Ground is carpeted with a 3G surface. What seemed one of the shocks of the season occurred when The Royals came up to Croft Park in October and took all three points, with a late winner through Zak Lilly.

Matthew Wade made a return at Mickleover Sports and midfield partner Damen Mullen may be available for selection again, after a spell on the sidelines. Dan Maguire made his first start of 2016 on Tuesday night, with Wilson Kneeshaw playing out wide, and Arran Wearmouth starting on the bench, after carrying a small knock. But that wasn’t to stop him coming on a scoring a late solidifying goal to make it 2-0.

Sutton Coldfield Town are currently mid table, realistically safe from relegation and unrealistic to reach a playoff spot. Nathan Buddle was given a straight red at Mickleover Sports but will be available selection at the weekend.
