Blyth Spartans are pleased to confirm the signing of French midfielder Isiah Cornet. The 22-year-old joins us following the expiration of his contract at Middlesborough after five years on Teesside. He joined Boro in 2018 following a successful trial as a 17-year-old when he departed his then-youth side, US Torcy a fifth-tier French Division side. Although the game was goalless after 90minutes of football, Spartans did have a number of opportunities to break the deadlock; hitting the wood work twice. The visitors, also had a number of chances, but thanks to Blyth Keeper Alex Mitchell who pulled off a number of high quality saves.
