TEAM NEWS
After what was an entertaining match at Croft Park on Saturday, Spartans will be doing their best to make sure they are able to kill off matches as they travel down to Sheffield to face Stocksbridge Park Steels. Joe Kendrick will be looking to add to his tally of goals as he’s converted from the spot in all three matches this season.

The impressive Aaron Wearmouth will also be hoping to continue his great form on the left wing but will be hoping he’s done enough to keep his place with Dean Holmes looking like he could be back from a tight hamstring, which he picked up against Trafford.

MATCH PREVIEW
Last season saw Blyth play the Steels early on into the campaign and recorded a 5-0 victory at Croft Park. Goals were a common topic against Stocksbridge last season, with a thriller of a game in the Doodson Cup which totalled up eight goals, after extra time, with Blyth winning 5-3 at the Look Local Stadium. The Green Army also visited Stocksbridge in the league, in which finished 3-2 win for the visitors, three out of three wins for Blyth.

Stocksbridge’s last game, was played away to Kings Lynn, which ended in a similar scoreline in a 3-3 draw. Again in this case, two 90th minute goals were scored in that match so Spartans will be hoping that they can stay strong for the entire match, whilst continuing our goal scoring ways.

IN THE AWAY DUG OUT
Darren Schofield – Ex Sheffield FC, Alfreton, Worksop and Stocksbridge player – been in charge of the club for one season
