Next up for Spartans in their pre-season schedule is the visit of Northern League Division One side Shildon AFC to Croft Park tomorrow night in a 7.30pm kick off.
Manager Tommy Cassidy will be without injured defender Carl Jones following his shoulder injury in the 0-0 draw with Tonbridge Angels last Saturday but will hope for better news on the potential return of winger Lee Mason. Cassidy will hope to take another look at his trialists and assess how his squad is shaping up as the new season gets ready to arrive.
Shildon arrive at Croft Park with former Spartans Ben Christensen and Chris McCabe in their squad and will be looking to improve on last season’s mid-table finish.
