A Blyth Spartans select team that will include team mates of Anth and managed by Harry Dunn, will play against a North Shields select team at Croft Park TODAY KO 2pm, admission will be by donation at the discretion of the individual. All proceeds raised on the day will go to Anth’s Family, we hope that the weather will be favourable for Anth’s friends and supporters who are raising additional funds by waking from North Shields to Blyth for the match.
The club wishes to thank the individuals who have come forward to sponsor the match and match ball, again all proceeds adding to the funds on the day. Ian Hertwick has given one of Anth’s football tops to his family and a framed top to the club, this will be displayed in the Sports Bar.
It should be a great day out with old friends and supporters together remembering Anth and celebrating his life, “a truly fitting tribute to the man”.
