News | Thank you to Mark Lynn’s family & friends

Blyth Spartans AFC wholeheartedly thanks the family and friends of late supporter Mark Lynn after his legacy fund has helped bolster our media department.

Lifelong fan Mark sadly passed away earlier this year and the club paid its respects with a minutes silence before our game with Altrincham in February.

Brian Coult set up a JustGiving page in Mark’s memory, which was supported by Mark and his wife Keren’s work colleagues, friends and family.

We’re pleased to say the funds raised has enabled the club to purchase a brand new HD camcorder.

Jordan Cronin, Media Manager at Blyth Spartans, said: “We’re absolutely over the moon with our new club camera.

“With myself and the media team committed to live streaming every home game for the foreseeable future, it is essential we have a high quality camera to provide a high quality output.

“It had a hugely successful first outing against York City, with a number of supporters – home and away – kindly commenting on the fantastic quality of our live stream.

“Not only can it be used to video our matches and provide match highlights, it will also allow us to bring supporters closer to the football club with behind the scenes content.

“On behalf of everyone at the football club, I’d like to send my appreciation to Mark’s wife Keren, their family and friends.”
