Blyth Spartans are still looking for their first win of the season as they travel to Nethermoor Park on Tuesday night to face Guiseley AFC.
Billy Gordon helped rescue a point on Saturday during our 1-1 draw with Lancaster City as he turned in Dan Savage’s shot following a spirited second-half display.
Blyth also found out their draw for the Emirates FA Cup First Qualifying Round earlier and it is confirmed that we will travel to Scotchman Road to face Northern Counties East League Premier Division side Campion AFC on August 31, 2024.

TEAM NEWS
Isiah Corent, Lucas Reed and Mitch Curry will all be assessed ahead of Tuesday’s trip to Nethermoor Park. Harrison Clark will be unavailable for the Spartans following his withdrawal through injury on Saturday.
WHAT WE’RE SAYING
Following a 1-1 draw on the road with Lancaster City, Nobby Solano said: “It was unfortunate for Harrison [Bond] to play the ball into one of their midfielders.
“So we tried to get back into the match as you see we didn’t start well, to be honest, we were talking about how we should repeat what we did on Tuesday.
“If we are not consistent in this level it will be really tough and difficult to win games.”

OPPOSITION
Guiseley sit one pace above Blyth in the league table, 15th, as they have secured one win and suffered two defeats.
The Lions won their first game of the season on the opening day, enjoying a 2-0 over Workington but have since lost their next two consecutive games, both in 3-1 defeats from Stockton Town and Macclesfield.
WHAT THEY’RE SAYING
After a second 3-1 defeat in a row, Mark Bower said: “I thought we played well.
“We were at a massive disadvantage playing a Wednesday night away game, while they had a Tuesday night home game and that puts us at a disadvantage.
“I came and watched them on Tuesday night and saw how they moved the ball and the threats that they posed and they had chance after chance after chance, they were really good and very impressive, so we knew it would be difficult.”
