TEAM NEWS
2 games remain and Blyth are still in the hunt for a league title, a feat which not many would of had predicted before the first ball was kicked in August. But after 44 performances and 96 points on the board, mathematically the dream can be put on hold, with Rushall Olympic standing in our way to catching Darlington 1883 tonight. A Blyth win will keep the hope alive for a minimum 2 more days (Thursday) before Whitby Town have the chance to keep the battle to the last game of the season. Should Darlington 1883 get a better result than Spartans tonight though, the title will be awarded to them (unless Darlington draw and Blyth lose, Spartans could then only win via Darlington losing the last 2 games and a goal swing of 11), quite confusing…

Blyth recorded our 17th away league win of the season, smashing a new record after a 2-0 away win at Matlock Town, in support was 300 Spartans roaring the team on in Derbyshire. The game saw winger Arran Wearmouth and centre half Nathan Buddle come off injured, to the concern of all Blyth related. Tom Wade confirmed the duo are expected to be missing from action against Rushall at Croft Park, Tuesday night. The likely replacements may be substitutes Michael Richardson and Danny Parker. The game will also cap Robbie Dale’s 500th Blyth Spartans appearance, a figure of only legendary status.

IN THE AWAY DUG OUT
Richard Sneekes – Ex Ajax, Bolton, West Brom and Hull City player. Has 2 Netherlands Under 21’s caps – been in charge of Rushall since the start of the 2014/2015 season.

DANGER MAN
Andre Brown – has scored two goals in the last four, after a tough set of fixtures for The Pics
