Blyth Spartans meet Alfreton Town on Saturday as they play their 3rd home game in a week. The Spartans will be looking to avenge following an opening day defeat in Derbyshire.

Blyth were unfortunate to taste defeat last Saturday as they went down 1-0 to league leaders Salford City. Jack Renshaw grabbed the only goal of the game from the penalty spot after being brought down in the box by Peter Jameson.

Alfreton went down 3-1 at home to Bradford Park Avenue. Tom Platt put the hosts ahead at the Impact Arena before Adam Boyes levelled things two minutes into the second half. Shane Killock headed the visitors into the lead before Oli Johnson added a third.
