TEAM NEWS
Connor Pani suffered an injury on Saturday and was taken to hospital, thankfully an x-ray showed there were no broken bones. A timeframe for his return will be made once further assessments have been conducted.
WHAT WE’RE SAYING
After a 4-0 defeat on the road, David Stockdale said: “For me, this wasn’t as bad as Bury, it was close, but if you analyse it, the second goal is an individual error, the third goal is our defender is first to the ball and a freak injury put their guy through on goal.
“And the fourth goal, we’ve got maybe five up front, trying to at least salvage anything as if you get one goal you might be able to change it.
“But there are still errors in that, I’m not saying it should’ve been 1-0, all I’m saying is if we break it down, I felt that they were trying whereas at Bury we didn’t have that.”

OPPOSITION
Last season Basford United finished one place above the relegation zone as they ended the season in 18th with 37 points, seven above Bradford (PA) and Stafford Rangers, 19th and 20th.
This season, however, they sit 11th in the league standings having won four and drawn one of their 10 games.
They suffered their biggest defeat of the season on Saturday as they lost 5-1 at home to top-of-the-league Macclesfield.
WHAT THEY’RE SAYING
Following their biggest defeat of the season, Martin Carruthers said: “It certainly was a game of two halves.
“I had nothing but praise for the boys at half time, apart from the first 15 minutes when we were struggling to deal with their movement and rotation which was excellent and once we got to grips with that we gifted them their first goal and we got punished.”
