Spartans dropped 2 points against bottom club Hucknall Town on Saturday.

Adrian Hawes tested Mark Bell with a powerful header which the Spartans keeper tipped over after 10 minutes.

However, Blyth took the lead on 15 minutes. A quick throw in from Gary Brown found Marc Walton inside the area he played the ball back to Rob Dale whose shot was blocked by the home defence but Chris McCabe was on hand to force the ball home.

On the stroke of half time Bell came to the Spartans rescue with a fine save from Stef Frost.

Not many real clear openings were created – but Dale setup Walton whose effort was tipped over. Before on 78 minutes the bottom side equalised.

A Rueben Wiggins-Thomas corner was forced home at the near post by Antwon Bonnick.

Deep into added time a John Brackstone free kick was fumbled by the home keeper and Brown stapped his effort wide.
