Here’s Jonny!!! Again…

The Spartans tv channel will continue this season!

BSAFCTV was under threat when Producer Stephen Hurst accepted an offer too good to refuse to work with Gateshead FC.

Spartans Media Manager Phil Castiaux commented: “It certainly was a cause for concern when we lost Stephen but Jonny Hall has stepped forward and offered to take over the role. Supporters will know Jonny from his excellent commentary for Radio Northumberland. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to commit to weekend work this season so he stepped down. However, I’m delighted to announce that he has decided to continue to help the club and is prepared to work on BSAFCTV during the week.

“The club are also grateful to Jonny’s employer, Leading Link, for allowing him to use their filming equipment.”

Leading Link is a social enterprise which works across South East Northumberland linking schools, families and the community.

Jonny said: “I enjoyed immensely my first full season with Spartans and when the possibility of getting involved again came about, I didn’t hesitate in jumping back on board.

“BSAFCTV had an extremely successful first year and to be given the opportunity to build on Stephen’s extremely professional standard of production is a great honour for me.

“We have lots of ideas in the pipeline, including more midweek coverage and in-depth build ups to games, and I just can’t wait to get going!

“There is also the added bonus of the beginnings of a relationship between the Spartans and Leading Link – the local charity that I am Assistant Manager of.

“A link between the community-based organisation and the Green Army is very exciting – and something that I can only see blossoming in the future.”

Jonny will be filming Blyth’s friendly against a Newcastle United side on Friday evening.

The club is still working on securing coverage of Saturday home games.
