Blyth Spartans fans should clear their diaries for Wednesday July 5 – as the National League have confirmed that is when the fixtures for the 2017/18 National League North season will be announced.
General manager Anthony Seghini and predecessor Ian Evans were in attendance at the league’s AGM earlier today, when it was confirmed that Spartans will learn their fate for their upcoming return to step two of English Non-League on the first Wednesday of July.
With Spartans facing games against a host of former Football League clubs – including York City, manager Alun Armstrong’s former side Stockport County and Kidderminster Harriers – as well as North East derbies against Darlington and Spennymoor Town being just some of mouth-watering clashes to look forward to, the release of the 2017/18 Vanarama National League North fixtures are not to be missed!
