Blyth Valley Council held a Civic Reception for Blyth Spartans players and officials last week.
Mayor Gordon Knox welcomed the delegation and congratulated them on their fine achievements in this year’s FA Cup. He also stressed the benefits to the town and community in terms of raising both the spirits and profile of the area.
Club Chairman Tony Platten thanked the Mayor for his kind words and also thanked the Council for their help in improving Croft Park so that it was capable of staging the big fixtures.
