ANDREW LEESON – DECEMBER 2008 In a month of very few games, Andrew Leeson stood out as the player of the month. A solid performance in the FA Cup Replay at home to AFC Bournemouth helped the side keep a vital clean sheet and claim a money spinning glamour tie at home to Premiership Blackburn Rovers. MARK BELL – NOVEMBER 2008 Mark returned from injury at the begining of November and re-claimed the number 1 shirt. His performances in the FA Cup are the reason Blyth made the hat for the 3rd round draw. A great block from Grant Holt kept a vital lead against Shrewsbury and his heroics at Bournemouth earnt a fantastic draw. Well done Belly!

RICHARD PELL – SEPTEMBER 2008 Richard Pell joined Blyth in the summer and has been a rock in the centre of defence. September saw Richard opening his goalscoring account for the Saprtans in a 3-0 victroy over Hyde, and he also assisted in the vital equaliser at Whitby in the FA Cup. Well done Richard!
