Blyth Spartans can announce the signing of former Newcastle United winger James Marwood and Jarrow Roofing striker Michael Hepplewhite. Marwood, 19, is the son of former Arsenal and Sheffield Wednesday player Brian and is a fast winger, who provides of good crosses and is capable of shooting from distance. Charity Trek A Huge Success

Guest of honour at Saturday’s game with Eastwood Town were three members of the ‘Mick O’Brien Supporters Club’ based in Dublin, Ireland. Whilst a high percentage of the crowd at Croft Park on Saturday probably wandered down to the ground on foot, the three lads had set off on Wednesday from Ballymote to get the game using an incredible 11 forms of transport, ranging from a lorry to a skateboard….
