The Club wish to announce that there will be an Open Forum in the Social Club on Thursday 14th April, commencing 7.45 pm. As usual, The Executive Committee and Mick Tait will be open to the floor for questions and answers, all supporters are welcome.

In a heated affair at Sam Smith’s Park Blyth Spartans progressed through to the final of the Northumberland FA Senior Cup with goals from Neal Hooks and Stephen Turnbull. This was always going to be a competitive fixture with former Blyth manager Paul Baker in charge of a Benfield side which also included ex Spartans players; Andrew Grainger and Kenny Boyle. Despite the Blyth Spartans v Gainsborough Trinity fixture being listed on the BBC website and the footballwebpages.co.uk site, we can confirm that there is no game tonight at Croft Park. We do however face Newcastle Benfield away tomorrow night (Wednesday). Our next home fixture is on 9 April 2011 v Gloucester City (kick off 3pm).
The Club are happy to announce that all tickets for our Sportsman Dinner this Friday 1st April, where John Beresford is the guest speaker, have been sold out. A big thank you to all of those supporting the event.
Affectionately nicknamed ‘The Bull’ John Alexander made his 50th appearance for Blyth Spartans on Saturday against Vauxhall Motors and marked this milestone with a crucial goal just seconds before the half time whistle. Having been unlucky with injuries this season Alexander is gradually working his way back to full fitness and was delighted to get on the score sheet after coming off the bench to replace the injured Neal Hooks….
In his short time in a green and white shirt Alan White has already endeared himself to the Croft Park faithful, not only for his commanding performances at the back but also for his potency in the opposition box.
