The 18-year-old arrives at Croft Park on an initial three-month loan deal, which Blyth has the option to extend. Cornish began playing Northern League football whilst at Durham University, and featured for sides such as Newcastle Benfield, Whitley Bay and AFC Consett.  While studying his Masters degree in America, Cornish featured for Nova Southeastern University in Florida, and helped the team reach the National semi-finals.
