In their final game of the season, the Spartans ran out 3-2 winners over already relegated Burscough.
Following a very poor first half, which saw them 1-0 down, the Spartans flew out of the traps in the second with Chris McCabe scoring a header and then Ged Dalton being alert to a short back pass to give the Spartans the lead. Burscough equalised, but the Spartans were not to be denied, as Shaun Reay twisted and turned before producing an excellent finish to give Blyth the win.
