The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League have now confirmed that Spartans will make the trip to Derbyshire to face Buxton this coming Saturday. The Bucks currently sit in eleventh place in the league and have won three of their nine home fixtures. Their last fixture at Silverlands ended in a draw as Marine’s Joe Fowler snatched a point for his side with an injury time goal to deny Martin McIntosh’s side all three points.
Spartans last visit to Buxton was Paddy Atkinson’s first as Caretaker Manager following the departure of Tommy Cassidy. An under strength Spartans side went down to a 2-0 defeat with Bucks goals coming from striker Mark Reed and a remarkable goal from goalkeeper Ian Deakin.
