MAN OF THE MATCH

Glen Taylor

On what was a very poor night for the Spartans, the dubious honour of being awarded Man of the Match goes to Glen Taylor.

His goal on 5 minutes, with a smart finish, gave no indication as to the horror show that would ensue.

There was very little positive to take from the Spartans’ “performance”, particularly in the second half, but at least Taylor continued to show some fight for the cause, despite the poor service he received and was denied another goal or two in the first half, following a couple of fine stops from former Spartans’ goalkeeper Andrew Grainger.
