TEAM NEWS
Its time to get back to league football once again as Spartans make an unfamiliar trip to Belper Town. This is the first time Blyth will play at The Marston’s Stadium in Derbyshire and hopefully will end in a result similar to the only previous meeting of the 2 clubs, back in 2005 at Croft Park in the FA Trophy, finishing 2-0 to Spartans. Goal scorer on the day and now club captain Robbie Dale was on top form against Skelmersdale last Saturday and will be hoping he can continue to lead his team out to a victory.

Matthew Wade played and scored in the FA Cup win at Skelmersdale after several weeks out with injury so may keep his place in the starting 11. Stephen Turnbull and Joel Nixon also started in their debuts at central midfield and left back respectably. On loan Newcastle United striker Jonathyn Quinn made his debut coming on as a late substitute at Skelmersdale, he will be hoping to be making the most of his loan spell. Belper Town played Skelmersdale midweek and were beaten 2-1 by the Lancashire based club.
