Blyth Spartans bounced back from there friendly defeat on Saturday to South Shields, running out 2-1 winners over League 2 new boys Hartlepool Utd at Croft Park. Spartans led 1-0 at the break before doubling their lead in the second half. The visitors pulled one back very late in the game, but it was to be the Spartans night in front of a 815 crowd.
