Tough task for Spartans in FA Cup

The draw for the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup has been made and Spartans face an away tie against either Harrogate Railway or Spennymoor Town. Those two sides face each other on Saturday 29th August with the winners hosting Tom Wade’s men on Saturday 12th September.

Blyth Spartans have boosted their squad with the additions of former Sunderland academy man Andrew Cartwright and German goalkeeper Fabian Otte. Cartwright, who is twenty years old, appeared at right back during pre-season in games against Blackpool and Ashington.
