Vacancy | Spartans in search for new Programme Editor

Following Dan Simmonite’s departure at the end of the recent campaign, Blyth Spartans are looking for a new voluntary programme editor for next season.

Dan enjoyed a successful season creating our matchday programme and the Northumbria University student has secured employment with the Northumberland FA.

The out-going programme editor – who also worked on our social media channels this season – is the latest member of the club’s media team that have gone on to enjoy accomplished careers in the media industry – joining the Northumberland FA – so the successful applicant will be joining a thriving and supportive setup. Therefore, this is the perfect position for someone who is looking to get into a media career and/or has a keen interest in football.

This role requires excellent writing and proofreading skills, good attention to detail and the ability to hit deadlines. While there are compulsory aspects that have to be included, there is the scope to include anything else Spartans-related that you feel would help build up your portfolio – as the club makes a return to the Vanarama National League North next season.

Should you wish to apply for the role, please send a CV and cover letter – as well as any written/publishing work that you have been responsible for – to Media Manager Stuart Dick at stuart@sdjournalism.co.uk.

Closing Date 25th May.
