League News | National League and BT Sport Broadcast Partnership Renewed

The National League is delighted to confirm it has renewed its broadcasting partnership with BT Sport for a further three seasons i.e. until and including the 2020/21 season.  The new contract is for exclusive rights to broadcast up to 32 live matches per season, including the play-offs, with continued production of the popular weekly highlights show. Blyth Spartans can confirm Gateshead have recalled Kieran Green from his loan spell. The midfielder impressed whilst on loan at Croft Park where he made a total of eight appearances. His only goal for the club came in the Boxing Day defeat at home to Spennymoor Town before the reverse fixture, five days later, proved to be his last appearance. Spartans Trophy Tie Postponed Again

Blyth Spartans’ Buildbase FA Trophy tie against Altrincham has once again fallen foul of the weather – after a late pitch inspection. A 5pm pitch inspection found that the pitch was frozen in “small parts,” leading to the Third Qualifying Round tie being postponed for a second time. Altricham have advertised that the tie will now take place on Tuesday December 6, but that is subject to official confirmation.
