A selection of match action photos by Bill Broadley from the pre-season friendly against Middlesbrough U23’s at Croft Park. Although the game was goalless after 90minutes of football, Spartans did have a number of opportunities to break the deadlock; hitting the wood work twice. The visitors, also had a number of chances, but thanks to Blyth Keeper Alex Mitchell who pulled off a number of high quality saves.

Harriers broke the deadlock on 10 minutes thanks to a goal from Amari Morgan-Smith. Blyth levelled on the 30th minute thanks to a headed goal from Toby Lees. A selection of images by Bill Broadley from the game between Blyth Spartans and Chester FC, which saw the Spartans lose their fourth consecutive league game at Croft Park. The visitors led 2-0 at half time before making it three nil early in the second half. Spartans Shaun Reid pulled back a consolation goal; but it was too little too late to effect the outcome of the match.

A selection of 60+ images by Bill Broadley from Blyth’s third consecutive league home defeat at the hands of promotion chasing Fylde. The visitors led at the break 1-0 in a evenly balanced first half. The second half saw a dominant Spartans in full control as they looked for the equaliser, only to be undone by a 87th minute penalty, very much against the run of play.
