A former Newcastle United scholar, Blackett, 22, joined The Heed last summer having previously played for Heaton Stan and Newcastle Benfield in the Northern League. Thomson, 24, arrives at Croft Park having spent the last two seasons at National League North rivals Gateshead, where he briefly worked under boss Michael Nelson. Blyth Spartans AFC is pleased to introduce Monday evening Walking Football sessions, beginning from next week on September 14. Evening sessions will run every Monday between 7pm-8pm alongside our morning slots – as previously advertised. Our initiative, run by qualified FA coaches in association with Dugout Coaching, is aimed at over 50s in the local community. The cost of each session is £3, or £15 for a block of six….
