Spartans saddened to learn the passing of Eddie Turney

Blyth Spartans are deeply saddened to learn the passing of lifelong supporter, former player and director Eddie Turney. Eddie played for Spartans during the 1950s alongside his brother, Jim, Frank and John. He went onto to become a director at Croft Park and supported the club through thick and thin. Blyth Spartans meant a great deal to Eddie. Our thoughts are with Eddie’s friends and family at this sad time.

Blyth Spartans AFC has been made aware of the Premier League and EFL further suspending their seasons until April 30.  The EFL also announced yesterday it would be taking measures to immediately assist with cash flow via a £50million short-term relief package.
