Blyth Spartans are delighted to announce that the guest speaker at this year’s Sportsman Dinner is Ex Everton and England Central Defender Dave Watson. The event will take place on Friday 3rd April 2009 and tickets will cost £25 per person.
In a career that started 1980 at Norwich City, Watson won the 1985 Milk Cup with the canaries against Sunderland. A move to Everton saw the defender win the First Division (now Premier League) Title in 1987 and then captain the club to the FA Cup in 1995, when the Toffees defeated Manchester United 1-0 at Wembley. He also won 12 England caps.
