SPARTANSFANS YOUNG PLAYER OF THE SEASON – SHAUN REAY
The first ever winner of the SpartansFans Young Player of the Year goes to striker Shaun Reay.
The forward joined the Spartans midway through the season from Darlington, following an unsuccessful spell at Harrogate Town and his debut saw him change the game against Sheffield FC in the FA Cup. More was to follow as the ‘upfronter’ achieved national fame when his classy brace against League Two side Shrewsbury Town, saw the Spartans produce their most complete team performance in decades.
Shaun will be officially presented with his trophy at the end of season Presentation Night, which will be held in the Social Club on 8 May 2009.
