CRAIG TURNS – SEPTEMBER 2009
A move by Spartans manager Mick Tait in the transfer market saw the return of hugely popular Spartans ‘keeper Craig Turns from Durham City.
It was clear within minutes of second debut that he had lost none of his ability as he pulled off a stunning reaction save against Solihull Moors to keep the game at 0-0.
Better was to follow in the FA Cup. Despite a comfortable sounding 7-1 victory for the Spartans, their game plan would have been totally different had it not been for three excellent saves from the quiet, unassuming Turns in as many minutes.
