Yesterday evening Blyth Spartans defender Andrew Cartwright was called up to the England ‘C’ Squad for their trip to Slovakia.
‘Carty’ was on standby in the contingency squad, but has now received a late call up for the International Challenge Trophy final held at the Mestsky Stadion in Ziar Nad Hronom.
The right-back has made 76 appearances for Spartans since joining the club from Sunderland in August 2015.
