Senior Cup | Newcastle semi-final date set

Blyth Spartans can confirm a date has been set for the club’s Northumberland Senior Cup semi-final clash with Newcastle United.

Lee Clark faces his former club as his side compete to earn a St James’ Park final against either North Shields or Morpeth Town.

Spartans have beaten Northern League Division Two sides Heaton Stannington and Bedlington Terriers to reach the last four stage.

And now Newcastle will stand in Blyth’s way of a place in the final when the pair meet at Croft Park on Tuesday, March 24th.

Cash turnstiles will be in operation on the day with no tickets sold in advance.

Entry prices have been set at £6 for adults, £3 for concessions while under 10s and Blyth Spartans Juniors are granted free access.

The cup tie falls in between Blyth’s local tie with Spennymoor Town and the trip to York City.
